This chapter explores hyperinflation. In the story, Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) features prominently.

One technique of Strategic Foresight (and a central technique of Directed Fiction) is the creation of an Axes of Uncertainty table. In the table I developed for this novel, hyperinflation represents the extreme northern point of the Y-Axis, and Deflation represents the extreme southern point. MMT acts as a landmark for a high inflationary economy.
