The following short video offers a good overview of Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). This is a very positive video that emphasizes the speed and convenience of the new economic system.

Please don’t misconstrue my use of this video as my personal endorsement of CBDC. I worry that it will lead to the emergence of a surveillance state similar to the one in China, with financial transactions being manipulated based on your individual social credit scores.

But what I think is not important. The rule of Directed Fiction is that each narrative gets a chance to succeed …and to fail. The Metaculus predictions determine how the narratives perform against established metrics.
