It’s VERY unlikely that Dr. Ranell could find a legal way to donate six hybrid airships to charity in an effort to skirt paying for the loans outstanding.
However, it’s not entirely beyond the realm of possibility to donate multi-million-dollar aircraft to charity.
Remember, I am a science fiction writer, not a financial advisor. But it seems to me that GML might be able to use its considerable assets to pay off the airship loans, and then attempt to recoup the losses as corporate tax deductions when it donates the (paid for) aircraft to charity.
